Synopsis
Red flag Rising is the story of my father who was an intelligence officer in China at the end of World War II. He went on to work for the Department of Justice under Robert Kennedy and latter to become Director of Security for the National Security Agency (NSA). It has been said that he was in line to be Attorney General. Due to the secret nature of his work, he never received the recognition that one would expect for a man of his stature. The primary objective of this film is to honor him and tell his story, as he was a man of integrity and honor.
While he told us very little about his activities in China, he did tell us that his spy ring was captured as the communists took over and that, while he managed to escape with the help of Chiang Kai-shek, he was sentenced and executed in absentia by the Chinese Communists.

Red Flag Rising is inspired by a true story written by L. Patrick Bienvenu. This full feature length film is being produced in accordance with the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) thesis requirements of the University of Central Florida (UCF).
Patrick Bienvenu is an award winning film maker well known for creating innovative and inspirational short docudramas such as the widely acclaimed "Spirit of Aviation" for Tampa International Airport and "Florida's Community Airports" for the Florida Department of Transportation. Not only a film maker, Mr. Bienvenu served as CEO of the highly successful market leader EquiCross, Inc. up until it's acquisition in 2014. Throughout his 40 year career Mr. Bienvenu has founded and managed numerous successful enterprises.
